Hamacher fleet in January 2010: 70 % of the trucks already complied with the Euro 5-Norm

Already at the beginning of 2010 70 % of the Hamacher-Transporte trucks comply with the strict requirements of the Euro 5-Norm, which will only come into full force in 2014.

The Euro 5-Norm is also called the “clean-norm”.

The benchmarks for carcinogenic petrol- and diesel particles will be drastically reduced with the implementation of this exhaust norm. However, the change from Euro 4 to Euro 5 will proceed in steps across Europe: by 2014 all vehicles will be incorporated into the new EU-Regulation.

Why is it so important for Hamacher-Transporte to convert its fleet to become more environmentally friendly?

Cost savings and fleet quality are of course important reasons, but the management team of Hamacher-Transporte is equally concerned with the issue of utmost environmental compatibility and minimum emissions. The corporate ethic of Hamacher is partly responsible for the development of a national and international forwarding company since foundation in the 1930’s, which now represents a force in the transport- and logistic industry with 120 employees.

What is so unique about the Hamacher fleet?

Even the outward appearance of the trucks is image-enhancing, also for our customers: Hamacher-Transporte continually communicates its quality via its vehicles. During their hauls the well maintained trucks represent the Hamacher company philosophy: clean, modern, environmentally friendly, of high quality. The trucks are continually maintained by the in-house workshop and thus retain their trustworthy, spotless appearance over many years. The concern for environment and commercial decisions are united by innovative corporate politics to provide a multitude of advantages for transport and customers alike.
